Routine maintenance keeps your site humming along!
Keeping your Site Features up-to-date just a part of our periodic maintenance and hosting service for your Hanco-built website.
We routinely have a look at your site using Admin Access to see which plug-ins, components and other settings require updating as part of our maintenance schedule.
A typical BusinessSite account for example, generally requires at least a full hour of maintenance work by us, both on the hosting side (PHP settings, database updating, improvements and upgrades), and on the Admin Access site (in your site's Dashboard).
Let us keep and eye on it!
We do ask that you do not update Site Features (including plug-ins) yourself without asking us first, as many times we do need to perform an audit of changed files and custom code and styles we have done previously. Many times updating a plug-in can overwrite work done, requiring partial restoration from a backup and other complications.
Updates available for your Site Features generally include improvements and fixes from the third-party vendor, and also important security updates, so we endeavour to ensure things are kept up-to-date.
